Theme of the Retreat:

A 7-day meditation retreat led by Venerable Sabchu Rinpoche focusing on the importance of Buddhist retreat. The capacity of the course is limited to 50 participants according to Rinpoche's recommendation.

Conditions of participation:

  • Each participant must participate in the entire length of the retreat.
  • Arrival to the venue is possible on 15 Mar 2024 from 16h.
  • The last session ends on 23 Mar 2024 at 7:30 a.m.
  • It is impossible to ingest alcohol or any other narcotic substances during the course.
  • Payment of 50% of the deposit by 31. 1.2024. This deposit is non-refundable.

Course fees:

This time the course fee is according to the above selected accommodation. So you can choose at your discretion. The amount consists of three items:

1. Gift for Rinpoche 5,000 CZK

2. Accommodation: Extra bed in shared room 9 100 CZK, Double bed in shared room 10500 CZK, Private room 11 900 CZK

3. Full board and refreshments during breaks 8,500 CZK

* We have a limited number of individual types of accommodation, so it may happen that we will contact you after registration with an offer of a different type of room.

Meditation texts will be available on site. If you already have a Duntsam booklet from an earlier course, then we recommend bringing them with you.

Each day of the retreat will be divided into 6 meditation sessions, which will take place in the traditional way in Tibet. During these sessions, Rinpoche will deliver explanations on the topic of Buddhist sanctuary. The meditation sessions will also include Praise 21 Tar, Riwo Sangchö, the practice of protectors and other wishes.

During the afternoon, there will be an hour-long quiet break, where you can spend time reading or walking around the large area and the adjacent forests. During the retreat, there will be an opportunity to request a personal interview with Sabcha Rinpoche.

Sabchu Rinpoche

Venerable Sabchu Rinpoche is a Nepal-born Tibetan Buddhist teacher. He was recognized by 14. Shamar Rinpoche. At an early age, he moved to Swayambhu Monastery, where he began his study of the Tibetan language and the basic practices of the KarmakamTsang lineage.

Until now, he has received many empowerments, read transmissions and instructions from both the great masters of the Kagyu lineage and from many other skilled meditation masters. He spent one year practicing Chödu in Pharping. At the age of eighteen, he began a three-year retreat under the guidance of Maniwa Sherab Gyaltchen Rinpoche. He then began traveling and teaching in Europe and North America. He subsequently completed a bachelor's degree in Film and Media Production in Canada.

Rinpoche now divides his time between personal meditation retreats and teaching in Asia and Europe. He also currently oversees the Karma Kagyu Monastery in Swayambhu.
